IV Drug Recall for Pfizer

Pfizer is voluntarily recalling several IV medicatoins which it distributes, notably the antibiotics metronidazole (Flagyl) and ciprofloxacin (Cipro) and the anti-nuasea medication, ondansetron (Zofran).  Particulate matter has tainted the medications, affecting the sterility and purity of the products.  In addition to this recall, PFizer is temporarily freezing the distribution of all sterile injectibles and IV bags manufactured by Claris Lifesciences, the originator of the recalled products.
